HADAF Center For Human Rights organized a celebration on the end achievements of its project " Promoting Youth's Rights And Civic Engagement ", funded by ( EU & NHRF ), at Al_ Commodore Hotel in Gaza City.
The Celebration was organized in the presence of Dr. Yusef Safi ( HADAF's Executive Manager ), Mr. Ahmed Saken ( HADAF's
Board Chair ), Mr. Ayman Ftaiha ( Representative Of EU ), Dr. Jaber Al- Daoor ( Deputy Of Al- Azhar University President ), Dr. Tayseer Nashwan ( Dean Of Student's Affairs in Al- Aqsa University ), Mohammed Shbair ( Representative Of Islamic University ), Mrs. Faten Abdallah (Representative Of Al- Quds Open University ), a large number of representative of local NGO's, more than 120 female and male youth from university students, and volunteers in NGO's, and a number of media institutions.
The celebration was opened by a presentation from Mr. Ahmed Saken, who indicated HADAF and the project and its activities, thanking ( EU ) for its generous support to the project, and project team for their great efforts that contributed in achievement of the project objectives.
He also added that the Palestinian Territories do not possess physical resources as oil and metals, but possess youth who are considered a treasure if well-prepared and well-planned for.
On the other hand, Dr. Yusef Safi, highlighted the project, its target groups, objectives, and activities, expressing his great gratitude and thanks to ( EU ) for generous support of the project, and stressing the importance of promoting and protecting youth's rights and their basic freedoms through integrating them in programs for democratic reform and social development.
He added that we in HADAF has the right to celebrate this anniversary and specifically achievements which can be registered and recorded for project team, and our partners from universities and NGO's.
Finally, Mahamoud Joma'a ( representative of youth volunteers working in the project ) highlighted the experience and skills they gained through their work in the project in HADAF, which will be of great importance to their future work.
Finally, memorial presents were distributed on representatives of universities and certificates on representative of local NGO's worked in the project, and on trainers and project team and volunteers. |
