HADAF Center For Human Rights organized a workshop under the title " The Role Of Media In Disseminating Values of Tolerance in the Palestinian Society ", in the presence of Dr. Yusef Safi ( HADAF's Executive Manager ), Mr. Wael Al- Dahdouh ( Director of Al-Jazeera Channel in Gaza ), Mr. Yusef Al-Ostaz ( Youth Journalist ), and ( 40 ) female and male youth from university students, and volunteers, within activities of its project " Promoting Youth's Rights And Civic Engagement " funded by ( EU & NHRF ).
The workshop was opened by a presentation from Dr. Yusef Safi through which he welcomed guests and participants stressing the change that has taken place in the role of media from transferring events to making events. He added that efforts should be devoted to enhance values of tolerance, as it can not be accepted to have thought violence with the Palestinian media which should the major mechanism for disseminating and promoting tolerance culture among the Palestinian people.

On the other hand, Mr. Wael Al- Dahdouh indicated that the Partisan media means have threatened all red lines when they enhanced the Palestinian political and geographical split , stressing the need for a new role from Palestinian media to consolidate tolerance and the Palestinian unity , and calling media means to promote tolerance among each other first, and then among all society categories.

Mr. Yusef Al- Ostaz stressed the need for focusing the efforts of Palestinian journalists for the sake of overcoming policies and thoughts of Palestinian media institutions which do not put tolerance and unity issues as of top of their priorities, adding that absence of tolerance values from the Palestinian society has resulted from the large number of media means.
