HADAF Center For Human Rights conducted a training workshop for children members of the Student's Parliament under the title " Children's Rights " at Khan Yunis Prep. School for Refugees ( C ) For Boys in the presence of awareness and training team of HADAF, and Mr. Bassam Abu Namous responsible for the human rights committee at school, and ( 30 ) students of the Student's Parliament at school.
The workshop aimed at assisting students to gain knowledge of concepts and values of human rights, and children's rights and duties, and aimed at building their capacities for the purpose of creating a well aware and educated generation.
The workshop started by a presentation from Mr. Bassam Abu Namous who welcomed the training team of HADAF, appreciating the efforts of HADAF in dissemination of Human Rights Culture.
On the other hand, the leader of the training team of HADAF welcomed participations and thanked the headmaster , and teachers of the school, and specifically Mr. Bassam Abu Namous for their efforts to promote human rights and children's rights within the school.
The training workshop focused on issues of : Human Rights and its characteristics, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the political and civil rights treaty, and social, economical and cultural rights treaty, children's rights, working children, and school drop out and their negative consequences on children in general, and on the Palestinian Society in particular .
Finally, Mr. Bassam Abu Namous thanked the training team, and HADAF Center For Human Rights and its Executive Manager Dr. Yusef Safi for the important efforts rendered to schools and members of student's Parliament. |
